We recieved some movie size boxes of candy we have never had before along with a movie so during family movie day Chocolate Chip came along and always seems to join
in on `snack time' this time he went *nuts* when he came across a box of sweets...

Chocolate Chippy has an Urgent Plea
My husband found me visiting with this guy on line- You see we've been happily married over 30plus years.. So Finding me spending so much time Online with this guy is very out of the norm for me :0(  But is very different. This guy is not like most. I think you will understand...So let me tell you about him and see what you think...
You Have to go to these sites and first play the utube
it is about SSD GABE a Military War Dog. The utube shows Gabe in Iraq with his military comrades overseas doing what Gabe does. It tells some of his story-Quite charming, Very Touching. Part of the War that is Never shown... Entire units made up of War Dogs and their Handlers. Unique bonds.

If you never thought about War Dogs Please Do. The bravery within these teams Amazes my mind,  they go in places others can't.  Well That too holds many stories... we support
The 2nd link is to VOTE for GABE in the 2012 American Humane Assc Hero Dog Awards  VOTE GABE                                                                                            military paper-go down a few articles to Hero  Dog  GABE
Gabe started his duty to this great country in 2006 and has such an impact not only on his handlers life, but American Soldiers in general. From Ft Lewis, WA, to Ft Bliss, TX and from Ft Leonard Wood, MO to Ft Hood, TX. Gabe truly is a hero dog. While deployed to Iraq, he completed over 210 combat missions with 26 finds of explosives and weapons. He also visited wounded troops in combat hospitals and visited children in Elem schools. Gabe was selected as the American Kennel Club Heroic Military Working Dog in 2008 and was the runner up in the military category for the 2011 Hero Dog Award. Gabe retired in 2009 after a very distinguished career earning over 40 awards and coins of excellence for his work. What he does is a love for his country and the people of the United States. We continue to educate children on respect and staying in school and we hope to represent the Military Police is a very positive way for years to come.
Help me out--join GABE -VOTE
then my Beloved husband will understand *wink* (you know I am teasing right?) when this Beloved Soldier Gabe can go And receive his award. All the bothering  I've been doing to everyone-Well, Actually, I hope everyone sees this as Educating because if you read the stories ... War Dogs are Amazing :o) looking up all my friends searching out voters-conversations explaining War Dogs. Below is part of a photo from the military article.

We should ALL `know' about these Soldiers... the Heros..that they are..

Chip has been worried because something has been different with his `brother'. He went away for several days, when he came back he was different. He had a satellite collar on his neck and his back rt leg had a drain in and was stitched from to bottom. Plus Jol was very stumbly-in pain-it was hard for him to walk. He is mostly blind as it is.  So this photo shows Chip standing guard, showing concern  And he helps Jol to the door...yes he is our seeing eye bunny. But I'll make that another post :0)
Chip found a pkg of  his favorite treats-Alfalfa Slims (from Dr Fosters+Smith) he managed
to relocate it from a corner table over the full length of the sofa, over a tray of Legos, bunched
up on the far end of the sofa by a pillow. Now, mind you this was NOT discovered right way. Chip was  mighty nervous this particular evening. Jumping on and off the sofa like a nutcase. No one noticed because there WAS a pillow in front that rolled off onto the table suddenly! That is when HE got
CAUGHT!  poor Chip... like he never gets fed :-(  Look at that silly face ~ awww
this is the problem-that silly fluffy chubby face is what gets Chip in and out
of SO much trouble.
for the record, he has a 24 dish of pellets-24hr dutch oven container of Timothy-fresh applesauce every day because he DANCES TO THE REFRIGERATOR for it. Yep He will trip us Dancing in the kitchen if he hears someone & his `apply' dish is empty. He has even gotten the Dog to eating  Applesauce??? I never heard  of dogs eating applesauce-BTW-cinnamon applesauce??? they both go for the dish. We have to take it away-Bunny eats then the dog finishes-then dish gets rinsed. ?
Bunny has other food in dishes around the room Fresh Parsley or Basil (we grow it)
or what is at the grocers, treats-omgosh honey hoops-alfalfa slims-yogurt drops
